Traits
Barbels (Uncommon)
Category: Head
Barbels are fleshy, whisker-like sensory protrusions that sprout from the head, often resembling the features of certain fish.
How to apply this trait:
- While they are most commonly found around the mouth or chin, they can be placed anywhere on the head.
- Barbels should always be depicted in pairs, with a maximum of 6 pairs (12 individual protrusions).
- The length of a barbel can be up to half the height of the ottagi's head.
- They should be depicted as soft, fleshy, and flexible protrusions rather than rigid, bony, or hair-like whiskers.
- They should appear simple and undetailed, branching no more than 2 times. Ends may feature simple bulbs or rounded tips, but they cannot glow or feature baubles or ornate decoration. For longer lengths, more complex branching, or magical features like glowing tips and charms, see ornate whiskers.
